PC Matic VPN Kill Switch

PC Matic VPN offers a 'Kill Switch' which is an optional, automatic safeguard designed for users who need maximum privacy. If your secure connection blinks out for even a second, it immediately stops all internet traffic to keep your location, identity, and data completely private.

It is an excellent shield for advanced users or businesses handling highly sensitive data who want to ensure they are never exposed, even for a moment.

To access the Kill Switch and it's settings, open PC Matic, click on the VPN tab and then scroll down to the 'Helpful VPN options' at the bottom of the page. Click on the 'Kill Switch'.

Kill Switch Options

Full Device Kill Switch: Blocks all external internet traffic if the VPN disconnects, while safely allowing PC Matic services and the VPN itself to stay connected. This ensures your device remains fully protected without interrupting your security updates.

Selected Traffic Rules: Allows you to choose specific apps, websites, or ports that are only allowed to access the internet through the secure VPN. If the VPN disconnects, only these selected items are blocked, while your other everyday internet traffic continues normally.
